Laili Island has a diverse range of dragons inhabiting it. Dragons commonly have an element, which affects their appearance and gives them various abilities. These elements allow dragons to take up different jobs and specialisations, thus creating some 'stereotypes' among their cultures.
Ice Dragons

Prefer colder settings. Can freeze water into ice and shape it at will. Can breathe an ice breath in battle. Can freeze whole body without dying. Can be pale blue, white, or light grey in colour. Often take up jobs in healthcare, entertainment, or law enforcement.
Lightning Dragons

Prefer living under the open sky. More likely to be claustrophobic than other dragons. Can summon lightning from the clouds. Can charge their body to hold lightning for an attack. More resistent to zaps that others. Can be yellow with bright secondary colours. Often take up jobs in law enforcement or entertainment.
Fire Dragons

Prefer warmer settings. Can heat their bodies to keep warm. Can ignitie themselves for short periods. More resistent to smoke inhalation and heat than other dragons. Can use a fire breath in battle. Can be red, orange, or yellow. Often take up jobs in law enforcement, cooking, or entertainment.
Nature Dragons

Prefer to be surrounded by nature. Tend to be more peaceful than other dragons. Can understand the needs of plants and animals or force their movement. Can be green or brown. Often take up jobs in farming, gardening, or healthcare.
Water Dragons

Prefer swimming over flying. Can control water movement, but not its temperature. Can be blue or green in light or dark shades. Often take up jobs in farming, healthcare, or cleaning. Can breathe underwater and on land. No horns; fins for ears; webbed feet.
Rock Dragons

Can navigate tunnels and enclosed spaces more easily than other dragons. Can move any form of stone at will. Thicker than average skin. Can be brown or grey in mid to dark shades. Often take up jobs in mining, law enforcement, or jewellery making.
Dragons with No Element

More commonplace than each of the other elements. Tend to be more innovative and perceptive. Extremely adaptable. Can be any colour. Can fill any role that does not require elemental abilities. Often take up jobs in business, analysis, research, or healthcare.
Hybrid Element Dragons

A rare result of two elements forming in one dragon. They can control both elements either separately or simultaneously. Colours reflect both elements. Often take up jobs related to one or both of their elements.
